Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Review

After the events of Man of Steel, Superman is still saving people; with some looking up to him as their safer, but with others look towards as an illegal alien who causes too much destruction. Bruce Wayne is also still Batman, he's been doing it for nearly 20 years now, starting to get old. With both superheroes looking to each other as dangerous. Lex Luthor, the CEO of LexCorp, also kind of hates both of them; recovering a kryptonite meteorite which fell into the Indian Ocean in the Man of Steel events, also Luthor gains rights to the Kryptonite scout ship which crashed, as well as the dead body of General Zod; he plans to create a giant Krypton Bio-Weapon. As a fundraiser, Lex Luthor sets up an event at his house, where Clark Kent (Superman), Bruce Wayne (Batman) and a lady named Diana Prince (later we know to be Wonder Woman) are invited to. Bruce steals information on about "meta-humans", humans with god-like powers, individuals like an alien princess warrior (Wonder Woman), a man with superhuman speed (The Flash), a cybernetic body (Cyborg) and a man who lives underwater (Aquaman). Direct reference to the upcoming Justice League movie.

Later, Lex Luthor plants a bomb in the US Capitol, killing US Congress members, Lex's assistant and a earlier mentioned employee of Wayne Enterprises, blaming Superman who the explosion. Batman then creates a powerful exoskeleton and kryptonite gas grenades and a kryptonite spear, so he able to overcome Superman. Just as Batman is about to kill Superman, Superman says "Save Martha", with both heroes' mothers named Martha, Batman comes to his senses and stops. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor has created his bio-weapon, Doomsday. Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman have to fight off Doomsday.

This movie was a lot of hype for what the film was. Don't get me wrong, I quiet liked the film, especially liking the references to the comics and Easter egg name calling. Ben Affleck (Batman) is by far one of my favourite actors who have played Batman; #Bat-fleck. Henry Cavill (Superman) on the other hand is not one of my favourite actors to play Superman... enough said. Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor) I felt was just too crazy to play Lex Luthor, it felt like a little bit of Joker was trying to get out. Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), also in the Fast & Furious series, I absolutely loved her in Batman v Superman, not having the biggest part, and taking a while to become Wonder Woman, but none the less, great piece of acting. Directed by Zack Snyder, really well directed and shot, apart from one tiny thing... Batman broke is only rule at least 12 times!

Overall: Too much hype. 6.5/10
Final thought: "Batman broke is only rule at least 12 times!"
