Captain America: Civil War Review

Captain America: Civil War Review

Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Black Widow and Falcon are on a kill-or-capture mission, tracking down the ex-S.H.I.E.L.D. member Brock Rumlow, now going by the name Crossbones. The mission ends with Crossbones pulling an explosive vest out, trying to blowing the whole place up; the explosive is suppressed by Scarlet Witch, but accidentally lets the explosion off in a hospital. This is the final nail in the coffin for the superheroes, the Superhuman Registration Act is pull on the team, this means the Avengers will be controlled by the UN, stopping the superheroes from acting with unlimited power. Scarlet Witch, Captain America, Falcon are against, but Vision, Iron Man, War Machine and Black Widow are for the act. While at the UN meeting, a Soviet scientist, who's family was killed by the Avengers while fighting Ultron, the Soviet, Helmut Zemo, dressed as the Winter Solider blows up the UN building, killing King T'Chaka, father of T'Challa - the Black Panther. With both Captain America and Iron Man knowing they will need a team to fight along side with, both gather their teams.

Captain America/Captain Steve Rogers (Chris Evans)
Winter Soldier/Bucky Barns (Sebastian Stan)
Falcon/Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie)
Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen)
Hawkeye/Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner)
Ant-Man/Scott Lang (Paul Rudd)
V
Iron Man/Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)
Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson)
War Machine/James "Rhodey" Rhodes (Don Cheadle)
Vision (Paul Bettany)
Black Panther/T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman)
Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Tom Holland)

The fight occurs, with Captain America and Winter Solider getting away, using a Quin-Jet - they fly off in search of Zemo who has framed Bucky. Attempting to stop Cap and Bucky, Vision fires his Mind Gem, hitting War Machine - causing him to be paralysised from the waist down. Capturing Cap's team, Iron Man digs deeper into the Winter Solider's past; finding that Bucky killed Iron Man's parents, but Bucky did not kill King T'Chaka. Iron Man enraged that Captain America knew about Tony's parents, Iron Man fights Captain American and Winter Solider.

This movie was epic. Totally loved this film. Hands down, still being Team Cap - with all past Avenger heroes were all brilliant. The new superheroes we meet, Spider-Man and Black Panther felt like they have both been ripped out from the comics. Third times the try with Spider-Man, being younger than both previous actors who have played the Web Head. Really like Tom Holland. Really like how Tony was introduced to Peter. Black Panther was so awesome, the hype for this character was well justified. Chadwick Boseman's backstory was really well adding into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp), was the niece of Agent Peggy Carter, really liked the love story with Steve Rogers. Helmut Zemo (Daniel Bruhl) playing Niki Lauda in Rush, he gave another link to Hydra, but Daniel Bruhl acting really well in this film, his backstory to Ultron was well linked together.

Overall: The wait is over. 9.5/10.
Final thought: "Taking Ant-Man down like an Imperial AT-AT"
