The Flash: Season 2 Review

The Flash: Season 2 Review

Starting exactly after the end of Season 1, just after Barry Allen (The Flash) closed the giant wormhole to Earth-2, a parallel universe to the original Earth, being named Earth-1. This is where Barry has to defeat Central City against Earth-1 enemies, as well as Earth-2's equally as evil counterparts. Within episode one, Team Flash are introduced to a new character, a man going by the name of Jay Garrick (Hunter Zolomon, who is really Zoom) - "Jay" is the Flash of Earth-2, but has lost his speed, needing Barry's help. As the team progress, Harrison Wells' Earth-2 Counterpart, being named Harry also makes it across the breach, saying that the villain Zoom has kidnapped his daughter Jesse Quick, as needing Barry's help to stop him. Barry's life gets more and more complex with Iris' mother coming back, dying and leaving her son, Wally West to discover the West Family. Also Barry meets a nice girl, named Patty Spivot - which later leaves him for keeping the secret of him being the Flash from her. The team figure out that "Jay Garrick" is actually Hunter Zolomon, who is Zoom. Chaos occurs with vibrations of other universes, time jumps and crossover episodes with other CW Heroes.

Really great season, all most as good as the first Season. Gustin Grant - famous from being in Glee - playing Barry Allen/The Flash is once again brilliant, absolutely love his ability to portrait this version of the Flash. Tom Cavanagh - in some lesser known films and the TV series of Scrubs - playing Harrison "Harry" Wells is really epic, love his dark side to his characters. Candice Patton - from being minor characters in various shows - playing Iris West, the love story between her character and Gustin's was really well played off. Danielle Panabaker - being Piranha 3DD & Sky High - her nerdy but nervous character of Caitlin Snow and Earth-2's Killer Frost, was again really well played, being the glue who holds the team together. Jesse L. Martin - being in Law & Order - Law & Order and The Flash, both playing Police Detectives, being the foster father of Barry; his power and control of his character really came across the series. Carlos Valdes - with the CW Superhero shows being the only thing he has been in, he is the comic relief as well as the geek and nerd relief to the show. Bringing the series back down the science fiction world they live in.

Overall: Loved this from the behind of Season 1 10/10
Final thoughts: "Cisco is hands down the best character in all of the superhero franchise."
