Call of Duty: Ghosts - Extinction

Call of Duty: Ghosts's game type of Extinction is pretty much a knock-off version of Zombies. There a limited wave of aliens, of different types, which are trying to kill you. The aliens have planted a couple of hives around the map, which have to be destroyed with the drill to move on. There is giant hive at the end which you have to destroy, then plant a bomb and run back to the beginning and escape on a helicopter. There are weapons, ammo and attachments spread around the map for you to collect, but you must always have your pistol on you at all times. Completing challenges will give you an upgrade, this upgrades will help you reload faster, run faster, deal more damage, etc. There are four classes to choose from when starting the game; Weapon Specialist, Tank, Engineer and Medic.

Weapon Specialist:
Swap weapons faster.
Run faster.
Reload faster.
Faster ADS.
Bullets do more damage + less spread.

Tank:
Melee Attacks do more damage.
More Health.

Engineer:
Can repair the drill faster.
Earn money from traps.
Increase protection for the drill.
More damage done by traps and explosives.

Medic:
Move Faster.
Longer Sprint.
Immune to gas clouds.
Can revive teammates faster.

Relics can be found all over the map. Relics make the game a little harder on yourself, but get more money in game.

The aliens, or Cryptids, come in different types;
Scout - Normal basic alien.
Hunter - Slightly bigger and more powerful.
Scorpion - Super jumps, plus has a scorpion-like tail which can shoot poisonous liquids and gases.
Seeker - Small and fast, and will self-destruct when they get close.
Rhino - Large, armour-plated alien, with a charge ability.
Leper - Looks like a Hunter, but releases its Flare Ability, which lures Cryptids towards itself to form a small horde.
(There are more types in the DLC)

There are 9 achievements in Extinction (no including DLC), worth a collective of 195 Gamerscore.
No Man Left - 20 - Escape with all four players in Regular or Hardcore Difficulty.
Sprinter - 20 - Reach the exfil chopper with 1 minute and 30 seconds or more remaining on the clock in Regular or Hardcore difficulty.
Made it Out Alive - 20 - Escape 1st time in Regular or Hardcore Difficulty.
Completionist - 25 - Complete all Extinction Challenges and Escape.
Cabin Fever - 20 - Make it to the Cabin.
City Dweller - 20 - Make it to the City.
Any Means Necessary - 40 - Get 50 Kills with the Electric Fence and Fire Trap in a Single Game.
Trash Picker - 20 - Scavenger 40 Items in a Single Game.
Throttled Escape - 10 - Escape using a Relic.

This is game type is okay, I think it is fun for the first couple of games, but it loses it's fun-value quickly. Of course, I prefer Zombies. This game is better online, but can be a grind to get the upgrades that you want.

Bronze, Silver and Golden Age of Comics

The Bronze, Silver and Golden Age of Comics
Superman14.jpgShowcase4.JPGAmazingSpider-Man122.jpg

Now comics books are pretty much sorted into the three stages of comics, bronze age, silver age and the golden age.

Starting with the Golden Age, this was the beginning of many of the well-known superheroes and villains; Batman, Superman, Captain America. This is when comics where starting, sometime in the late 1930's during the beginning of World War II, most made to raise morale during the depressing times of the war. For example; the Captain America #1 shows Captain America punching Adolf Hitler in the face, if that isn't raising morale, I don't know what it. The Golden Age of Comics ended in the early 1950's.

The Silver Age of Comics began in the early 1950's and ended in 1970. Comics had to now follow the Comics Code Authority, which says that comics can't show disrespect toward policemen, judges or government officials, no sympathy must be shown towards wrong-doers, no excessive violence, no scenes of horror, no scenes of evil, etc. This meant most of the villains had to become less bad and more goofy, even the Joker.

Following, the Bronze Age of Comics began in 1970 to 1985, this is where the Comics Code Authority started to become ignored, leading with storylines which included racism, drugs, alcoholism and urban poverty. Stories became more dark, this is was a great chance to rewrite origin stories for characters, such as; Iron Man's alcoholism, Speedy's drug addiction and the death of Gwen Stacy.

Lastly, bringing up to date to today's comics, the Modern Age of Comics, beginning in 1985 to the present. This allowed most comics to have more psychological complex characters, betrayal and grim scenes of violence and horror. Origins and storylines became more dark and hate and sympathy was felt for both villains and heroes. More complex stories like Crisis on Infinite Earths occurred, this was so writers could, again, rewrite the backstory to superheroes, making them more dark and worthwhile to readers.

Ratchet & Clank Review

The evil Chairman Drek is using a planet destroying weapon, named the Deplanetizer to blow up planets, taking the best pieces of the planets and building a new planet. But in doing so he would be endangering millions of people's lives, The Galactic Ranger have noticed this and need a new recruit to join the ranks, a mechanic, named Ratchet, attempts to join but their the leader of the Galactic Rangers, Captain Qwark, says no. Meanwhile, Chairman Drek and his lieutenant Victor Von Ion, travel to a war-bot factory to gain new forces. But a defect is producing in manufacturing, no evil in him at all, too small and too harmless, Victor attempts to destroy him, but the defect is able to escape on an escape pod and land in the valley near where Ratchet is working. Ratchet goes to save the defect from the wreckage, naming him Clank. Chairman Drek's forces invade with Ratchet and Clank helping to defeat the enemy forces, becoming the people's hero. This displeases Captain Qwark as he has been shown up, but the media forces him to allow Ratchet and Clank to join the Galactic Rangers. To find information, the Galactic Rangers search the now abandoned war-bot factory, where Captain Qwark is met by Chairman Drek, where Drek encourages Qwark to join the dark side.

The Galactic Rangers then find out that Chairman Drek and Dr. Nefarious join together to destroy another planet, but the Rangers are too slow, with Captain Qwark going to join Drek. This is where Dr. Nefarious stabs Drek in the back, turning him into a sheep and taking control of the Deplanetizer. Going on to destroy a whole solar system for fun, but Captain Qwark has a change of heart, seeing how Ratchet and Clank risked their lives to save him, Qwark fights back Dr. Nefarious. Ratchet and Clank disarm the Deplanetizer and send it crashing to the planet surface, where Drek the Sheep has crash-landed. Captain Qwark begins his universe-wide sorry, and Ratchet goes back to be a mechanic. Ratchet hasn't quit from the Galactic Rangers, also side Clank, he will be ready for when the Galaxy needs their help.

I thought this film was a little slow in places, especially how I loved the Ratchet and Clank video games when I was going up. Ratchet (James Arnold Taylor) previously playing Ratchet in the "Ratchet & Clank Series", really good all rounds performance. Clank (David Kaye) once again, previously playing Clank in the "Ratchet & Clank Series", my favourite out of the duo. Chairman Drek (Paul Giamatti) previously acting as Rhino in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", also as Chairman Drek in the "(2016) Ratchet & Clank", just a funny and good character. Captain Qwark (Jim Ward) previously in hundreds of sometime Video Games, Animated Films and Anime Shows, including the "(2016) Ratchet & Clank", I have always loved Captain Qwark because he is so funny and ridiculous, and I think Jim Ward captured the character really well, once again. The critics probably won't like it because it is a Video Game Movie, but whatever; I didn't mind it, it wasn't my favourite. But it was pretty good over all. 6.5/10.

Overall: Pretty good, still love the series.
Final thought: "Choosing between certain death and probable death."

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Exo Survival

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's game type of Exo Survival is pretty much like Modern Warfare's Spec Ops. You try and survive as long as you can against a endless waves of enemy soldiers, equipped with Exo Skeletons. Now you get a choice of one of four classes you play as while fighting off the enemy; Light Exo, Specialist Exo, Heavy Exo and Demolition Exo. There are 25 rounds, afterwards the map will be flipped and you must complete another 25 rounds.

Light Exo:
Low Health and Damage
Fast Movement
Dash Ability
Scorestreak - UAV
KF5 and a Atlas 45 w/ Extended Magazine

Specialist Exo:
Balanced Health, Damage and Movement
Cloak Ability
Scorestreak - Remote Turret
PDW w/ Extended Magazine and a Tac-19

Scorestreak - Goliath
EM1 and MP443 Grach w/ Extended Magazine

Demolition Exo:
Normal Health and Damage, Movement
Scorestreak - Missile Strike
MDL and an Atlas 45 w/ Extended Magazine
+4 Contact Grenades

The more points you earn, you can earn an orbital drop with a special scorestreak or perks which that class can't get usually.

In addition to surviving, there are Objective Rounds, this rounds will give you more points, but failing an objective will punish you; for example, disarming your exo skeleton.

Objective Rounds:
Defend Position - You must defend a specified position on the map and kill 12 enemies while in that position.
Defuse Bombs - You must defuse all three bombs around the map.
Gather Dog Tags - You must collect 20 Dog Tags scattered around the map.
Gather Intel - You must collect 5 pieces of intel.
Uplink Round - You must collect the Satellite Orb and throw or carry in it into an Uplink, there are three Satellite Orbs.

There are 5 achievements in Exo Survival, worth a collective of 70 Gamerscore.
Exo Survivor - 10 - Successfully complete the Exo Survival Bonus Wave.
Exo Survival Veteran - 10 - Play 50 Exo Survival Matches.
Class Warfare - 10 - Play 30 Minutes with each class online in Exo Survival.
Exo Flip - 10 - "Flip" a map.
Flip Flop - 30 - "Flip" a map twice.

I really like don't mind this game type, I prefer Zombies of course, and it's feels in some points worse and some points better than normal Spec Ops. The game type can be played by yourself or online, online is way better though.

Comic Book Silver Scene to Big Scene Rant

Image result for DC v Marvel
Comic Book Silver Scene to Big Scene Rant

Marvel's TV Shows at the moment;
Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agent Carter
Daredevil
Jewel
Luke Cage (to be aired)
Iron Fist (to be aired)
The Defenders (to be aired)

DC's TV Shows at the moment
Arrow
The Flash
Supergirl
Legends of Tomorrow
Smallville
Gotham

All great shows, but Marvel take their TV Show characters and bring them or reference those characters in the movies; while DC don't. Now I am absolutely love CW's The Flash (Grant Gustin) but I don't like the suit, the smugness or well being of the DC Movie's Flash (Ezra Miller). why can't DC Movies allow the actors from the CW shows, plus others, act in the big time films. They have proved their worth in their shows. Marvel are able to do it. Not gonna lie, it gave me hope in the Supergirl CW TV Show, they never showed the face of Superman in the show, thinking maybe it is Henry Cavill, but maybe he wants a lot of money so they don't show his face, or something? I love all the actors in the DC & Marvel TV Shows, but I don't understand why DC don't allow the silver scene actors on the big scene like Marvel do. Okay... rant over.

Batman: The Killing Joke Review

Batman: The Killing Joke Review

Batman and Batgirl have been working together for nearly 3 years now, with them on a new case, Paris Franz, the nephew of a powerful mob boss, is stealing an armoured car using a 18 wheeler truck. Batgirl and Batman stop the robbery, but Franz gets away. But Batman, trying to protect Batgirl, says to her to stay off the case, but Batgirl doesn't listen and ends up finding the mob boss dead body in his corset, being killed by Franz. After an emotional argument, the Bats end up having sex, with their relationship wearing extremely thin. The next fight with Franz ends up with a Batmobile being blown up, and Batgirl nearly beating Franz to death, seeing that Batman was right, she retires from being Batgirl. Batman then goes to Arkham Asylum to talk with the Joker, but it isn't him, it's a double; Joker has escaped. Joker then finds Commissioner Gordon's apartment, kidnaps the Commissioner and shots Barbara (Batgirl), paralysing her from the waist down, undress up and takes photos of her dying, naked body.

Going back to the Joker's Amusement Park, he attempts to make Commissioner Gordon go insane by parading him around naked and showing him the photos of Barbara's naked dying body. While this is all happening, he see flashbacks of how the Joker became the Joker, being a failed comedian and former Ace Chemicals Factory Engineer, turning to crime, being forced to become the Red Hood and falling into the chemicals, turning him into the Joker. Batman arrives at the amusement park to find Commissioner Gordon is just shaken but not insane, fighting with the Joker, Batman corners the Joker outside in the rain. Batman showing his good side, says he doesn't want to kill the Joker, the Joker replies with a joke about two asylum escapees, escaping over the roof tops. Batman and the Joker begin to laugh, but the Joker's laugh stops with Batman's continuing. The end-credit shows that Barbara survives and continue to help Batman, as Oracle.

This special cartoon movie was based of the mind-blowingly great comic of the same name. Showing the rags to riches story of Batgirl, Batman and the Joker. Batman was voiced by Kevin Conroy who plays Batman in the "Batman: Arkham Series", once again spot of for the character. Now the Joker was voiced by Mark Hamill, who also plays the Joker in the "Batman: Arkham Series", as well as Luke Skywalker - by far, my favourite person who has played the Joker, tying with Heath Ledger. Batgirl (Tara Strong) previously in being Harley Quinn in the "Batman: Arkham Series", I thought she was basically perfect for his film, couldn't be faulted. Commissioner Gordon (Ray Wise), being mostly a small time actor in small films, TV and animation - Ray played off this character extremely well. I loved the added backstory of Batgirl, as well as the little bits here and there within the film added from the original comic book. The original comic written by the great Alan Moore, excellent story telling, from 1988, really happy it was finally turned into a animated film. Solid Animated Film. 10/10.

Overall: Brilliant Film, a great service to the fans.
Final thought: "You'd turn it off when I was halfway across!"

Suicide Squad Review

Image result for Suicide Squad logo
Suicide Squad Review

After Superman's death, ARGUS operative Amanda Waller assembled Task Force X, a team of dangerous criminals who have been locked up in Belle Reve Penitentiary. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, El Diablo, Killer Croc and Captain Boomerang, as well as Slipknot, who are lead by Colonel Rick Flag, with her right-hand woman Katana. Rick Flag falls in love with an archaeologist named Dr. June Moore who discovers a cursed idol which turns her into Enchantress. Enchantress ends up releasing an army of undead monsters and summons her brother Incubus; which them both ending up tearing up Midway City. The team, named the Suicide Squad, are injected with a small explosive in the back of their necks to stop them running off, which Boomerang and Slipknot don't believe, which results in Slipknot's head being removed from his body. The Suicide Squad are given their old gear back to help stop Enchantress and Incubus, which the Joker gets word of, with him following the team and attempts to steal Harley Quinn back for himself. But the Joker's helicopter is shot down, with Harley Quinn thinking that Joker had been killed; which leaves the Suicide Squad hanging low, but they pick up their spirits and continue to move on.

As they get close to the building where Enchantress and Incubus are arming their global weapon, the Suicide Squad move into the floated underground railroad station, looking for the explosive that Rick Flag left there 3 days ago, while searching for Enchantress/Dr. June Moore. A small team of underwater Navy SEALs and Killer Croc go looking for the explosive while the rest of the team encounter Incubus and Enchantress. El Diablo is able to equal Incubus, with the Navy SEALs arming the explosive, killing Lieutenant GQ Edwards but also kills Incubus. The team work together to defeat Enchantress, who is able to be released from the curse, returning Dr. June Moore back to normal. After the battle against Enchantress, Amanda Waller tells the team that they have 10 years of each of their sentences, also allowing Deadshot to meet his daughter. Also Joker breaks into Belle Reve to save Harley Quinn.

This movie was awesome, one of the best DC films in a long time. Full of humour, psychical warfare and killing people for fun; sticking to the roots of the characters, with an endless list of Easter Eggs from the comics and other films. Having the backstory of the villains, with their encounters with Batman and the Flash. Deadshot (Will Smith) infamous in Hollywood, was once again excellent, funny and so profession. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) previous being in "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Neighbours", she rendition of Harley Quinn was spot on, I especially look forward to a lead female villain DC film, starring her. Joker (Jared Leto), being in "Fight Club" in past, I am still not should if I love or hate Jared Leto's Joker. Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) being in "A Good Day to Die Hard", American playing an Australian character, but Jai did go to Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, so a small bit of Aussie in him, he was probably my favourite member of the Suicide Squad. El Diablo (Jay Hernandez) previous being in manly small time films, but I felt that Jay shadowed in this film but the Deadshot and Harley Quinn, I felt like he had a lot more to give to this film. Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) previously in "Game of Thrones" and "Concussion", I really like Adewale in this film as Killer Croc, the make-up was perfect for the film and the acting was spot on as well. Katana (Karen Fukuhara) this being her first ever film, Karen has being a name to remember in Hollywood, excellent acting for Katana, and sticking to the source material from the comics. Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) being in the "Robocop" remake, I really loved Joel's Rick Flag, heartfelt but a love-able rogue. Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) being in "Ender's Game", I didn't really like her, I preferred the CW's Amanda Waller. The soundtrack was excellent, rivalling the soundtrack of the "Guardians of the Galaxy". A must see epic comic book film, 8/10.

Overall: Stupid if you don't see it.
Final thought: "Crazy - the best are."
